i am quite fascinated by how much time we invest into comparing ourselves to other people. whether it's musicians, actors or some flirtatious model who went viral on tiktok, we're always in that mindset of incomplete satisfaction in a certain skill or foundation in life.
"there's always someone who's better than me. i can never be able to become as cool as this person. i can't do this unlike what's-his-butt. i'll never do this correctly. ever."
granted, i have this same issue as well. i am also human. however, whenever i'm faced with those thoughts, i can acquire that confidence to step back and instead say something like "i can move forward and achieve this skill by practicing." in the end, it's just a bunch of false hope anyways.
